Daily DeviationGiven 2007-12-30Noir by *Paleuf The suggester writes, "I love this photo because people are anonymous and even then, we are able to see their moves and what they are doing. It is telling the everyday life of people, but at the same time, how different we are. It is like small pieces in a big bowl of soup." (Suggested by ~MultiCurious and Featured by `rhapsouldize) CommentsThe mood captured here is amazing! The lack of detail/silouteing of the figures was a great choice adding the ananimity of their exsitance which I think adds very much to the dark tone of the image giving a very lost/alone feeling.
The circular stairs lead the eye nicely to the center of the frame where the contrast is greatest and you are introduced to the faceless silouted figures. The stairs add some nice lines/direction in the picture so its not just a crowd where you dont know where to focus. The stairs seem a tad off center? Maybe thats just me. I can decide if I like dislike the exsive vingetteing. The vingetteing adds to the feel and I definitly like it, but maybe a bit to much? Fabulous shot overall! Well done THANKS VERY MUCH! for this long, precise, descriptive comment! VERY MUCH appreciated!
about the vignetting there's no vignetting added. In fact i only played with the levels, so it's only a general adjustment. But i understand it might be too strong… i'm gonna check what it would look like with less vignetting… thanks again!
