if you don't mind me asking, how many stops each way did you go?

yo

how many stops did I go? … 0 !!

this is one of the HDR test i done with one single RAW file, like this one [link] and this one [link]

Sometimes you just can't use your tripod, that's why I "develop" three differently exposed jpgs from one single RAW file… not true HDR i know but it works on small pics like this one.
The problem when you do that is that you can get very noisy images, even at iso 100 (my cam is a 30D).
In conclusion it's far better to do multiple exposure with a tripod, and I usuallly do -1, 0, +1EV. I'm new in HDR and i think i'll try -2, 0, +2EV and maybe 5 differnet exposures, i'm sure i'll get less noisy pics…

to work!

I've been contemplating trying this out as well. I have a 20D. I'm afraid that once I start I'll be addicted!
